About Huza Hope Africa
Connecting volunteers with verified local NGOs to build stronger communities across East Africa.
Building Hope, One Partnership at a Time
Huza Hope Africa was founded on a simple belief: that lasting change in Africa must be driven by Africans, supported by a global community of skilled volunteers. We exist to bridge the gap between passionate individuals who want to give their time and talent, and verified local NGOs that need those skills to amplify their impact.
From the highlands of Rwanda to the shores of Lake Victoria, from classrooms in Kigali to mobile clinics in Gulu — we are there, connecting people to purpose. We don't just place volunteers. We build partnerships that transform communities and empower individuals on both sides of the equation.
What We Stand For
Four principles guide everything we do — from how we vet organizations to how we support volunteers.
Hope
We believe in the potential of every community and every volunteer to create positive change.
Trust
Every NGO is verified, every volunteer is screened. Trust is the foundation of our platform.
Unity
We bring people together across borders, cultures, and backgrounds to work as one.
Transparency
Clear processes, honest communication, and no hidden fees. What you see is what you get.
Numbers That Matter
How We Got Here
The Idea is Born
Our founders, working with local NGOs in Kenya, saw a gap: skilled volunteers wanted to help, but had no trusted way to connect with organizations that needed them.
First Partnerships
We launched with 5 verified NGO partners across Kenya and Rwanda, placing our first 50 volunteers in the field.
Expanding Across East Africa
We extended our reach to Uganda and Tanzania, growing our network to over 100 verified NGOs and 500 connected volunteers.
1,250+ Volunteers and Counting
Today, we've connected over 1,250 volunteers with 320+ NGOs, impacting more than 15,000 lives across East Africa. And we're just getting started.
